City Electric Participates in NYS Construction Career Days…
We had a GREAT time at the 5th annual Syracuse Area Construction Career Day at the NYS Fairgrounds on October 20th, 2011! The attendance was phenomenal; the people we spoke with were all interested in the myriad of jobs surrounding the construction industry – from apprenticeship programs and construction management to sales and sustainability! All of the participants we had the pleasure of speaking with, one-on-one and in groups, were inquisitive, intelligent, and each made our day exciting! If you didn’t make this event we hope to see you at the 6th Annual next year!

Youth is vital to the construction industry. Today’s high school students represent the pool of workers from which the construction industry will recruit its future work force. Construction Career Days will expose high school students and adults to rewarding and diverse careers in the industry. The events offer students a career option that they otherwise may not have been aware of, including wholesale distribution of materials.
If you know of someone, youth or adult, that is curious about a career in the exciting construction industry…this is the place for them!
